customer testimonials

“This was our first visit to Flood’s Cove. It was a 2 week, post season stay in mid-October. We were looking for stillness, quiet, comfort and natural beauty. We found all of this and more in great abundance.”

-”Post-Season. Peaceful, Quiet and Stunningly Beautiful”, Conrad W. of Elverson, PA, VRBO customer review. Published October 22nd, 2019. Exceptional! 5/5 Stars

“My wife and I were looking for a quiet & isolated place to work remotely while enjoying the autumn scenery of coastal Maine. The Westwind did not disappoint! The cottage was beautiful inside and out and the views of Floods Cove were fantastic! Quality of the design and construction were quite noticeable. The front porch was a great place for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Internet worked great, kitchen and bathrooms were like new, and the "great room" very comfortable.”

-”Wonderful Experience!,” John T., VRBO customer review, Published October, 15th, 2020. Exceptional! 5/5.

fall cottage rental season at flood’s cove

During the months of September and October on the Maine coast, when all the crowds have gone home and the hustle and bustle of the summer is already a memory of a vacation well spent, Flood’s Cove offers a quiet tranquility and natural refulgence only mother nature could provide. With warm days and cool nights, each of Flood’s Cove’s seven historic and oceanside cottages, except the Westwind and Barnacle, come with its own fireplace that fills the salt air with the smell of the changing seasons.

Small space heaters are available for use in each cottage and the Barnstable also has a built in heater to compliment its massive stone fireplace. This is a special time in Flood’s Cove that only comes once a year. Make sure to ask us about fall foliage oceanside cottage rental specials in Flood’s Cove. Typically, our fall rental season starts in mid-September and runs through the end of October.

Migrating seabirds take flight. Colonies of seals pop up all around you with a snort of air in the water. For those lucky few, perhaps even a rare and noble appearance of moose make Flood’s Cove the most salubrious fall vacation experience on the coast of Maine. Stop in…take off your coat…slip your shoes off…and stay a while and see for yourself why we feel that this corner of the earth shines forth above all.

for us to share

As the sun sets lower and lower in the northern hemisphere, the vibrant fall colors come out as a gift to those of us who can witness nature’s seasonal prestidigitation. Nature’s silent, unspoken language heralds both a felicity and requiem to honor the memories of those that have gone before us.

Ours is the path less traveled which has led each of us here, to this place, at this time - now! - and it has made all the difference. So, let your self relax, unplug and be fully present in this moment because “the past is history, the future a mystery and today is a gift, that’s why it is called the present” - Elenor Roosevelt.
